Property and PC Secretary including reception duties

The organisation

BWK Solicitors is a modern, friendly and fast-growing law firm located in Buckinghamshire.

The role

In this role you will manage reception and provide secretarial support to a highly experienced team who deals with a broad caseload of Residential Property and Private Client matters when required.

Duties will be varied and will include client meet and greet, answering and handling queries over the phone, franking, opening and closing files, preparing correspondence, documents and invoices, administration of matters using our case management system. The ideal candidate must be highly organised, have previously worked in a similar role, be a team player and an excellent communicator.

Experience, skills and attributes

  • Experience of reception duties
  • Experience of supporting Property Lawyers
  • Experience if supporting Private Client Lawyers an advantage but not a must
  • Touch, audio and digital dictation typing (preferably 60 WPM)
  • Production of letters and legal documents
  • Handling incoming telephone queries
  • General office duties such as photocopying, filing, scanning
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • IT literacy – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
  • Strong communication skill
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced and fun environment

Private Client solicitor

BWK Solicitors is a modern, ambitious and fast-growing law firm located in Buckinghamshire. We are looking for an ambitious and dedicated solicitor of circa 2-3 years PQE to join our busy Private Client department (full-time) or a much more experienced PC Solicitor who is interested in working 3 days a week.

Reporting to the Head of Private Client, the successful candidate will be bright, ambitious and technically competent in all areas of Private Client law.

In this role you will advise clients on Wills, Estate Administration, Court of Protection, LPAs, Drafting Deeds of Variation, Inheritance Tax Planning and Trusts.

  • Excellent organisational skills – particularly diary, file and time management
  • Ability to use initiative

  • IT skills including Outlook, Word & Excel
